It's been a while....
Alrighty guys,
How's it going? I know it's been quite some time, but when you're a jobless bum it's difficult to fit everything in. The days are just too short.

Since I last wrote we have been through Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, Poland and we are now in the Czech Republic heading towards Prague. Needless to say it has been brilliant. All the above eastern European countries are a weird mix of higly developed in the cities with old style horses and carts etc out in rural areas. In Estonia especially we were surprised by how developed and westernised it is (apart from maybe the road maintenance which leaves something to be desired).
So, what have we been up to? Well, we spent a good few days in Tallin, Estonia, including a memorable night out in the cheesiest club I've been in in a long while. Now we're out of Scandinavia we can afford to have fun, the beers in the Czech Republic are less than 50 pence. Since hen we've just been travelling, staying in campsites and picnic areas. Lithuania and Latvia were a little lacking in tourist attractions, Latvia's best was their biggest cave, which was well.... small. Lithuania however has a big sandbar in the baltic sea which is basically just a 50km long beach.
As it's been about 30 degrees everywheree we've been for the last 3 weeks that was particularly nice and we sepnt a few days just beaching it up, swimming in the sea and all that jazz.Poland (the land of my fathers) was nice as well, Warsaw was good but Krakow was the highlight. It's a stunning city and they were having some kind of military tatoo while we were there, we even met a Scottish pipe band! They had been doing some drinking though, the guy with the big drum could barely stand up, never mind keep time. Their pipe master wasn't too impressed. We spent a good while in Krakow, visiting their salt mines and also Auschwitz, which wasn't the cheeriest of outings, but we felt we should as we were very close to it. It's a sobering experience, they actually have about 30,000 pairs of shoes and two tonnes of human hair from the victims on display.
As I said, we're now in the Czech Republic, the home of beer (yas). Going to spend a while here then head for either Austria or Slovakia, depending on how we feel.
I've attached a couple of photos, including one of a "hilariously" named hotel we saw in Lithuania.
We've got wireless internet in the van these days, so I'll try and update this guy more often.
Cheers to my work chums for the photos of my leaving night, I was relieved to see here was only one of me dancing, but WHO was that random I'm arm wrestling?
Anyway, bye for now.
Ski.
